The Miley Cycle

Ok. Another Miley C. day. Now she is “On the cover of the Rolling Stone”. And how. Like a skinhead hip hop vixen, licking her expensive hollywood pool water from one  shoulder. I am conflicted. It seems weird to criticise Miley. She is a pop star and needs attention. It seems weird to adore Miley. All this licking and twerking. All these huge misunderstandings, that naked is just naked. And fun. Some people think that her twerking is racist, they think a white person should not imitate the way some black people dance. I don’t think Miley is racist and she says she is “done with twerking”. Miley is just born. Kind of. She just felt how it is to wear nude colour plastic pants on a stage, dancing and twerking in front of a guy in a suit with very big stripes and 100 years older than Miley. We should leave her alone for the next 5 years. She won’t go away anyway, she will appear at White House dinner parties. She will be on fashion magazine covers as Santa Claus. She will wear Chanel, she will rule the western world with her tongue. For a while. One day, around her 25th birthday, Miley will have a huge crisis and then she will apologise, she will talk about her “mistakes”. Where? “On the cover of the Rolling Stone”. (Slight variation: Ophra) This is what is called “The Miley Cycle.”
