Betty Chu’s English Angora Hall of Fame

by Holger Friese

five teen years ago surfing the internet was one of my passions. with a few clicks around the world – exploring content – navigating through (weird) stuff – gathering data – learn how to code HTML – and almost every time i did find something interesting and worth to read or look at. link lists are old-fashioned – facebook is the rule. the internet isn’t horizontal anymore – its vertical like the facebook feed. but today facebook made a pseudo surfing possible. i clicked on a name “emma ware” (who shared something in the feed of a friend of mine) then scrolled down a bit in emma’s feed – found one image clicked on it – and ended up on a website which wasn’t updated since 1999.

hall-of-fame

pure net – badly formatted text in combination with tiny images (they had to fit the 28.800 baud modem). one of the rare moments when i want bigger images and they don’t exist.

i have to find my old 14” monitor – the images will be full-screen – call me internet opa
