34 years ago the campaigns for 1979 san francisco mayoral elections reached top with except of “sister boom boom”, a transvestite nun running for the “nun of the above”-party, dead-kennedy’s singer jello biafra as one of the mayoral candidates.
biafra reached 3.5% of votes, the san francisco community brought in a law which forbids to run for any official position without running under your legal name.
