There was this man. He wore a hat, a good hat, made out of straw but such a perfect cut that made it look incredibly elegant. A very light blue shirt, a pastel green jacket and beige fading into grey trousers. Even the shoes, light brown classic brogue, just beautiful. On top of that a wooden cane between his knees on which both hands were posed. He was sitting in front of me and I fell in love instantly. Unfortunately he left so fast I didn’t even had the time to look him in the eyes. I could have stared at him for days.
Then this girl sat down at the exact same place where my new love was sitting just seconds before. First I saw her hair, blond but not usual blond. Not yellow but still warm, very light but yet strong. It made me think of a delicious crème brulée. Her skin, so even and smooth. The light babyblue t-shirt matched perfectly with the tone of her skin and hair. It had Carolina written on it. Clear blue jeans and sky blue sneakers. Right out of an american coming of age movie by Sofia Coppola. Tone in tone from hair to feet, all in pastel colors. She was the young pendant to the man before. She was the answer.
A very good day in the S-Bahn.
