Costumes I saw tonight: Cats, lots of cats. Some with a mini skirt and tail.
I have to admit cat costumes are fun. Mavie Hörbiger and I once had the best time ever at IKEA. We laughed like crazy, while trying on ears and tails. Almost getting thrown out of the childrens section –– everything was much too small. I never thought cat costumes for kids would be so much fun.
I loved the ears, Mavie the cat gloves. We bought 20 cat costumes. Good investment.
What else was there tonight?
Burlesque girls with Absinthe bottles (LA is obsessed with “1920s” Weimarer Republik Kitsch.)
Police women with an extreme cleavage and skintight latex trousers (LA is obsessed with LAPD phantasies.)
Bavarian outfits, minidirndl and “Maßkrüge” made of fabric to carry around all night.
Girls with Eminem/Ku Klux Klan masks and a baseball jacket covered in blood.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono, both with white tux looking really tired.
Master and slave situation: two tall guys in high heels walked around, didn’t look very communicative.
Various Black Swan variations, covered with blood (Still very popular.)
“Phantom of the Opera” masks on guys. Not a good idea.
“A Clockwork Orange” outfits on men, whose girlfriends were all cats.
The statue of liberty in a skintight silver catsuit and blown out hair. The statue was nicely drunk though and smiled. She was my favourite.
A guy with suspenders, in a certain Nazi-style but no swastika. He was extremely protective and obsessed with the police woman, the LAPD witch.
Back to the cats and the question: why do humans like to be half animal?
