Christopher James Franco Hugh Grant

Years ago, we always made jokes about Christopher Roth. Every time there was picture of Hugh Grant in a gossip rag like “Gala”, we would show it to Christopher and tell him, how he looked like Hugh Grant. Of course Christopher hated that, as Hugh Grant at that time was a little slimy and looked like a puppy. Not like a golf playing, cynical, hot “Haudegen”, as he does today. But in the recent months Christopher showed a massive transformation. He changed into a version of James Franco and we were really surprised. How was it possible and what does it mean, if someone makes a transition from Grant to Franco? You could think, it’s because he wants to be younger, a bigger hipster, a Hollywood star du jour, but that’s not the case. Christopher’s news phase he was going through, was asking for a new aura. Everyone has celebrity phases he or she is going through. One morning you wake up and you feel like Keith Richards, a couple of months after you are rather have a craving for Scarlett Johanson moves, as I had left my Madonna-phase behind me. For some time I had moments of channeling January Jones, but that’s over now. Currently, I am looking for a new phase. A new celebrity phase doesn’t mean a new life, but it means something has to come out, that you were hiding. So you start to show something, you never wanted anyone to see and everyone sees it, besides you. So we thought that Christopher had left his preppy phase, when Hugh Grants aura was no longer around him and we were happy for him. We welcomed his Franco-phase and first he rejected it. But it meant, that Christopher had become more open, more daring, he needed sleep and he was no longer bored. Everyone needs to change his celebrity phase once in a while. Even the celebrity itself. Like Kim Kardashian, we remember, last week, when she entered her existentialism phase and left her Beverly Hills porn facade behind. We are not saying that Christopher acts like Kim Kardashian, but who can say that for sure.
