Many people would rather not vote in the upcoming elections. Peter Sloterdijk just called it “Lethargokratie”, (Lethargocracy). He will not vote. On the other hand they tell you that you vote for the radicals if you don’t vote. Because these are the people who go voting anyway. And it would distort the overall ballot. Does this make sense? Anyway, many people don’t want to vote but they also don’t want not to vote. And many people don’t want Merkel anymore but don’t want the SPD either, or the Green Party. Or the other way round. So here is a suggestion: What if, you could also de- or un-vote some party or candidate. You give them a minus-vote. You take it away from them. And if somebody like the FDP would end up with minus 3% because more people decide to turn their votes into minus-votes the FDP would have a burden of minus 3% in the next election. Is this anti-democratic? It would be a lot of fun and fight the Lethargocracy.
