The German chancellor just said it. Today. And today is the Day of German Unity. He said it on RTL television. Heiner Lauterbach is the German chancellor. They tried to do Independence Day. The Reichstag in Berlin is hit after ten minutes. Burning physicists fly through a laboratory after 15 minutes. A black hole is accidently created in a particle accelerator (which is situated in the Phaeno museum in Wolfsburg). The only key to shut the accelerator down has a boy who plays around with girls in bikinis somewhere. Independence Day was also made by a German. I wouldn’t defend the film. Just the shadows, the shadows were great. In Helden (Heroes), the film that is on RTL right now, they smoke cigarettes after 30 minutes. Wow. Everything about Helden is bad. Worse than that. It is totally ridiculous, badly made and completely stupid. And it was expensive.
I always hoped German television would implode like Accelerationism as a political strategy suggested that capitalism would implode. That didn’t work either. Not even with and after Ronald Reagan. The theory was: because there is no Outside of the capitalist system (like German TV) you have to radicalise capitalism itself, you push the contradictions to its extremes, to a point where it implodes––radicalise German TV in its artificiality, its detachedness and its idiocy … No, Accelerationism doesn’t work here either. Not even with an particle accelerator in the Phaeno. Not with black holes and not with Hannes Jaenicke and the other muppets.
Meanwhile they show Dalli Dalli in the ARD, öffentlich-rechtliches Fernsehen (public- service television/taxpayer’s money). Dalli Dalli, means Schnell Schnell, also kind of Accelerationism or the inversion of it. It was a show in the 1970s with a host who looked like an old Mesut Özil and who jumped from time to time in the air, shouting: “Das war spitze.” “This was marvellous.” It wasn’t marvellous back then and its not today.
Now they blow up bridges on RTL. Maybe I should switch to Borgia on ZDF. Chris, we can’t watch Netfilx here, and David, the video you posted didn’t show here because of the Gema. We live in some kind of Hinterland. Today I tried to watch Jacques Ranciere talking about anarchism. Didn’t work, even the YouTube Unblocker couldn’t unblock it. Music rights.

Now a Muslim talks to a catholic priest on RTL. They shake hands. There is no Outside of German television.
Anyway, Armen can explain much better what Acceleration is all about:
Aimless speed + Useless brakes = Nostalgic stagnation
Acceleration + Direction = Progression towards a future.
