Jürgen Trittin

Today I didn’t take the S-Bahn, I took the plane. Berlin – Munich. I was sitting at the bar close to the boarding gate. I had red wine. I like airports and especially their bars. It is a kind of nomansland. I always feel like i’m about to have the encounter of my life. Somebody called my name in a strange dutch accent. I turned around, smiling, I was ready. Shit, it was somebody I knew when I was a child. I don’t like meeting people from the past. What should I tell him, where should I start? He said this line one of these lines I really hate: oh, you became a real woman.
Yes, hopefully, I’m 36 now, what else should I be? I’m glad he left soon, he was looking for the men’s room.
In the plane I was sitting next to this guy with a skyblue cap and very big black reading glasses. Interesting look. He is a golfer, he told me, it wasn’t hard to guess. We talked about airports and how great it would be to build a golfcourse on the old Tempelhof airport and that it was Wowereit’s fault again that it won’t happen. Wowereit is a Golfer. But he wouldn’t admit it. We ordered Gin&Tonics, they said they haven’t had spirit’s on national flights since 1999. Wow, how did i miss that? At the end I realized that the golfer was reading a german newspaper, an article about Jürgen Trittin––the president of the Green party touring  germany right now. On his tour bus is written Jürgen On Tour ––though the golfer was speaking english during the whole flight.
