K.I.T.T.

Today I understood why I love this little car2go smart car so much. Not only that it’s talking to me, it actually got the voice of K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand). The exact same voice (german voice)! I winced. Of course, that’s it. Remember, Knight Rider. My first series addiction. David Hasselhoff when he was still a hero but that’s another story.

Having such a car, such a friend was one of my first and biggest dream. The dream of the future. And suddenly there it is, KITT, reincarnated in a little white smart car. The future, now. It took me a while to notice. It was well hidden. A successful disguise.

In fact a dream came true. The first one I guess. That’s a pretty big thing. Ok, it’s not black, it’s not a Mustang, it doesn’t has this moving red light in front, but still, it’s my friend. It’s always there waiting for me around the corner, it gives me signals on my phone where I can find it and it talks to me. It says welcome and goodbye and that the car is ready to end the rent. Now I know why bizarrely I prefer car2go to drive now, both carsharing companies. Drive now has the much better cars, brand new Mini Coopers even Convertibles and brand new BMW’s. car2go only has those little smart cars with the absolut minimum equipment. The voice makes all the difference.
