King Russel

I saw Russell Brand yesterday. He walked into a restaurant like he always does: peacock with tattoos, head a little to high, like an aged and snotty english royal. Russell’s face says “world, listen to me, I have things to tell you”, his legs: yoga strong. Russell always comes on a little too strong, like he is a sex clown in a show about the Middle Ages. He is talented as can be. Just too nervous sometimes. Russell did something interesting the other week, he joked about the Nazi heritage of Hugo Boss at the GQ awards and at the same time he wore Hugo Boss and a few minutes later he got thrown out. Russell showed us, that in show business you can’t go back in time too far. It will come after you. But then, Russell is this machine, this joke robot, jokes pop out of his mouth, before he could possibly pity himself for the consequences. That’s what we need these days.
