Language Course

People have told me I have an indefensible lack of knowledge when it comes to American Pop-Culture. Something like a week ago – with a poor deferral of almost 15 years – I started watching The Sopranos. The way it sometimes goes with those episodes, it (totally) occupied my time and my mind. I even feel this series changes the way i talk when I talk English, or rather the way I’d want to talk when I talk English, in certain occasions.

“Hey Tony, how’s your sister?”

“You better keep your fucking mouth shut, don’t you talk to me like that.”

“?”

“Oh, you were serious. I thought that was like ‘Fuck your mother, how’s your sister?’ kind of stuff. She’s doin fine, I guess.”
