Les Gammas, les Gammas/ The Future is French (II)

Talking about Les Gammas and not really recalling the back-story (was Gamma a wooden planet like in Aliens 3? No, they had a wooden spaceship, right?) I remember this one line they were repeating: “Les Gammas n’existent pas.” Why? Why would they not exist? And even if you only exist on TV, why tell everybody? Luke Skywalker wouldn’t do that. Or Captain Kirk or Flash Gordon or Han Solo. Ok, Keyser Soze said “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist,” but Keyser Soze was not from the future. Not at all.
Slavoj Zizek might be the last Gamma. Not only because of Badiou. Also because of his style.
