There is a new style in architecture: Method Acting. Not only Tour Total is playing Monte Verita, also this stunning building appeared recently in Berlin. It is described on the website this way: “… The individual stories project at various depths and angles from the wall alignment in a way reminiscent of a set of slidable “drawers” within which drawings are stored. The building also generates the impression of being constructed of drawings (i.e., via the impressions of drawings imprinted on the outer façade), at the same time resembling a stack of storage shelves … There exist no architectural or programmatic parallels for such a museum in Germany …” Of course, it is not as advanced as Tour Total in terms of Method Acting. It is still a little bit stiff, but there are some bold approaches. And it brought me to an idea: maybe Tour Total should become a Museum of Monte Verita, at least in the empty three floors on top.
