MoL believes in boredom.
MoL rather likes boring football matches and dull pundits. Ukraine versus England was almost perfect in this respect. Nothing happened and afterwards three quite boring men had to spend a long time live talking about nothing, an exception to the general rule now of making live sport looking like it is not happening in real time, with too many cutaways and flashbacks. As a boring match last night’s wasn’t perfect because the execution was too incompetent where MoL looks for more of a level of boredom and technique, a very good example being a Germany v Austria match of a few years ago, a consummate tactical exercise in nil-nil.
