A new documentary on Lance Armstrong shows the man excelled in two areas: world-class cyclist and world-class liar, which leaves MoL wondering whether he made up the cancer story. A newspaper article on the film makes out sports champions are nasty aggressive crushers who steamroll other people because it’s their job. MoL thinks getting beaten in sports is no big deal, especially professional sports where a lot of boring nasty people are nasty to each other. Chess is the only real mind-fuck. MoL has no place for competition in its garden of earthly delights.
MoL also thinks that NADA, who can steamroll anyone on his day, made a sporting gesture against WAWR in the Australian final by not retiring hurt and allowing the game to play on, knowing he would lose, thus letting his opponent win rather than experience the disappointment of getting his hands on the trophy by default. MoL says hats off to NADA! Great losing and WAWR is left thinking he didn’t like really beat him.
