MoL learned three things today. 1) On the London tube they no longer say “Mind the gap” — three of the finest words in the language — they now say “Please mind the gap between the carriage and the platform,” as if the gap could be anywhere else. 2) What was always known as The Royal Institute for the Blind at King’s Cross is now announced as the institute for blind people. Presumably political correctness now forbids us to say “the blind leading the blind”. 3) There is only one Bee Gee left.
