After a long televised battle, Nelson Mandela is finally released on December 5th 2013. In less than a month, Long Walk to Freedom (“It is an ideal for which I am prepared to die”) will open in cinemas across the United Kingdom. The director, Justin Chadwick, starred as Clint Eastwood in the 1991 film London Kills Me, and is noted for directing two episodes of Byker Grove in 1998.
