On wedding

Why are weddings so different to any other parties? People are doing things they would normally be ashamed of. They are loud, they are shouting, they come up with really stupid jokes as if everything would be permitted. Just for this very short time. The main goal is to get drunk as fast and as heavily as possible. Singles are on the mission to find somebody for a quick get-together. At least one person has to be kissed otherwise it is really disappointing. Getting married the traditional way and all the things the priest is praying  about before the “yes” are perhaps so outdated that the only way to “believe” is to get wasted. Don’t get me wrong again, I love weddings. I’m the first one behaving like a retard, dancing on the table and having the fun of my life. Still it is getting more and more difficult to be touched by this whole ceremony. Standing in the church and listening to all one has to do and one is not allowed to do anymore.  It scares me, it makes me want to laugh out loud. It was hard to control myself. So I had a strong drink right after. One was just not enough.
