as some of you readers of 60pages were surely wondering: is he a professor or is he just damned smart?
well my answer is: yes and no. or no and yes. or partly yes but otherwise not. or sometimes. both.
basically i just received my contract by post and read that “Herr Avanessian ist entsprechend Art. 12 Abs. 2 BayHSchPG berechtigt, für die Dauer seiner Tätigkeit die Bezeichnung ‘Professor an einer Kunsthochschule’ zu führen.” so now you finally have the answer to the question that’s been bothering you for so long.

but if its not too urgent, maybe wait a few more days. its only after oktober14 that i can call myself a professor.
but please also don’t wait for too long with your emails, because i will only be able to ‘lead the title’ -führen, as one says in german, though one can also carry titles in german, which i also find nice- for a few months. So you better use this maybe unique opportunity to write to me as a professor. and be assured: i will definetely reply to you – as a professor!
