I went with some friends to the Shinjuku Golden Gai (新宿ゴールデン街). Although it has become a merely hang-out for gaijins (foreigners) like myself, it is still an amazing place to get to talk to Japanese people. Usually there are only around 4 to 6 seats, so if you happen to sit to a stranger he doesn’t feel too strange not to talk to him.
