I usually start reading magazines and newspaper articles from the back part. First the books and arts section in the Economist then the rest. First the last paragraph in an article in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung then the rest. I am not the only one, I know. Today I did the same thing with an insanely long article by James Kirchick in the magazine Commentary. There is a very true sentence at the end by Rebeca West which states:
“All men should have a drop of treason in their veins.”
Then I started to read the whole thing which is called “Treason Chic”. It’s mainly an accusation directed at the Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald, how he is bending the truth and constantly accusing the US for dubious reasons. You will not like it, but it’s an interesting read.
* Sorry for even more typos than I usually do in my Globish. My internet connection crashed today, what made me realise that a keyboard is such a nice thing compared to an iphone. And then my iphone started crashing too. Bona nox, bist ein rechter Ochs (W.A.Mozart)
