This just came in from Mr.Porter and because I misread it I read the whole page and all its subpages and links (took me 43 minutes) and when I was back on the homepage I saw that there is not written IRONIC but ICONIC.
Now I had read everything under the impression that it is ironic, not iconic, the Brioni Jacket Refined Classic (for almost 4000€), the Modern Biker by Rick Owens the Triple Monk-Strap Washed-Leather Boots by Alexander McQueen, the Editors’ Notes for the Triple Monk-Strap Washed-Leather Boots: “Never one to do things by halves, Alexander McQueen goes all-out on monk-strap detailing with these triple-buckled boots. Crafted from supple washed leather in Italy, they balance the rakish with the refined in a way that has become signature for the London-based label…”
And Mr.Porter’s suggestions for the weekend (it’s Thursday people!): what you should read, Pynchon, see, The Prisoners, go, I forgot. All iconic in a way. If you are through with Pynchon, saw the Prisoners and the other stuff come to Alexanderplatz tomorrow at 5. Georg Diez will tell us more about it. His eBook on the Alexanderplatz will be available tonight here on fuenfnullzwei.de/60pages. From Döblin to Fassbinder to Jonny K. (We’ll meet at the main entrance to the TV-tower.)
And come this Saturday (Sept 21) to Lichtenberg, join us at the tower. We’ll have Gin Tonics (Monkey 47 Gin) and biscuits and a chef from Pakistan prepares some food and we have a drone as described in my last pick.
From 4:30 to 7:30pm. You can either get there from Hertzbergstraße, Entrance Industriepark/ Dong Xuang Center or from Vulkanstraße.
Or call, if lost +4916090239230 or +491718174004.
