Yes, it sounds like Joseph Conrad, and yes, this is what Lichtenberg still is for many people: The horror, the horror. Heart of darkness. This is why we went there. Because we dare. Because we boldly challenge old assumptions. Because we had Monkey 47 and Thomas Henry with us (did I write Thomas Hardy the other day – well, you educated people, you will know). It was, to cut a long story short, a fabulous afternoon. Iqubal had asked the Pakistanian cook in the container restaurant to prepare some food, it was green and yellow and great, there were people who brought chairs, there were people who actually found where we were which is not that easy despite the presence of these looming towers. There are two of them, but only one seems habitable. There were kids with Pakistanian clothes (mine, the kids), and there was, mind you, it was Pakistanian themed, a drone which Christopher had bought.
Look.
And look.
And look.
Isn’t that nice?
Don’t you wish you had been there?
And yes, it was the first in our already famous series of Sermons&Cocktails. Just this time less sermons and more Gin Tonic. Thank you, Alexander Stein, Fetzo and Monkey 47!
