Hazardous (Airpocalypse #3)

I need to take back what I said the other day – about never wanting to live in smoggy Beijing. For a change, this week I would need go to the capital to breath properly. Right now air pollution in Shanghai has gone off the charts, for the first time in three years that I’ve lived here. The air quality index is at 505 at the moment = “hazardous”. The reason seems to be a lack of wind and low temperatures that make it hard for pollutants to disperse. Beijing only qualifies as “very unhealthy” today at 209 points – still almost ten times polluted as Berlin = 26 points.

I decided not to leave the house today and work from home.
