In a tower you not only have a perfect sight you can also be for yourself. That’s why Carl Jung built his own tower at the Zürichsee. Arno Brandlhuber, Sam Chermayeff and Christopher Roth once walked with students from the Wolfgang-Pauli-Institute up on the hill down to Jung’s tower. At least they tried. They only made it to the Jung-Institute in Küsnacht. The tower in Bollingen would have been a day’s walk. They went swimming and afterwards talked a lot about towers. The perfect tower. Today is the day of the towers.
“Let the psychotics take over. They alone understood what was happening.”
