Before the Method Acting will immaculate my thoughts again, let me introduce a historical person. His name is Wolfgang Pauli, an extraordinary physician of the 20th century. He was famous for his research in quantum theory. He published some of his research the normal way, by writing books or articles. But a lot of his academic results exists only in form of letters. The important letters are published by now. He addressed those to other physicians like Heisenberg, Bohr and others. I like this idea of having a personally addressed academic output. I´m considering this situation sometimes, while walking along the Wolfgang Pauli Straße on the campus of the technical university in Zürich. Maybe it is the opposite of what we see today, when you are forced to act for broad public and being evaluated by a quantifying system of quotations. Pauli was producing knowledge for a very precise audience, almost personal. At the moment they´re rebuilding the street (image).
